Well done Year One!
We had a fantastic (if not a little cold!) morning at the Winter Gardens watching Cinderalla. The children behaved brilliantly and enjoyed cheering and booing!
Today we found a crime scene in class. We discovered that the Evil Pea had been distressing the other vegetables! Supertato to the rescue!!
Over the last two weeks both Year One classes have visited Torrisholme Church of Ascension. Both classes behaved fantastically and enjoyed watching a mock baptism ceremony.
In Science we are learning all about the human body. Yesterday we labeled the human body using our phonics to help with our spellings. It was great fun and we thought of some excellent additional labels including teeth, cheeks, shoulders and elbows.
WOW! The children's Autumn Art looks amazing! Thank you so much for all the effort and support from home. We really enjoyed looking through the artwork and they certainly cheered us up now that the Autumn weather has arrived! As you are aware each odd year group completes a class assembly related to our values. Our 1A values assembly on honesty will be on the morning of Tuesday 29th November which you are all welcome to attend. The assembly will start at 9.05am in the main hall and should only last about 20 minutues. Once you have dropped your child at the classroom please line up round by the hall door which is on the KS2 playground. It is the door the children normally exit from a disco.
Thank you to everyone who has been practicing their words at home. Already our assembly is sounding good! |
