Our Lovely School
Please look at the following photos with your child in preparation for the move to Year 1. There are lots of aspects which they will have already seen and used before.
This is the KS1 corridor.
These are the lockers where we will put our coats and PE bags. Each door has a number on so the children will have to remember their number to put their things away.
We still change our books in the same places.

We still change our books in the same places.
We will still use the same playground.
Our toilets are the same ones as we use at playtime.
We will still have our lunch in the same hall and at the same time. For PE we can use either the big or mini hall.
We will also have a session in the computer room.
In a morning you will come in through the Year One outside doors. The doors are open from 8.45am until 8.55am. Please note in Year One children come into the classrooms by themselves. An adult will be at the door to share any information or answer any questions as necessary. At the end of the day the children will still be dismissed from this door too.

We still have book boxes to put your book bags in.
The tables, chairs and screen are a lot bigger in Year One!
We have our own targets in Year One which help us improve our work. What will be you target?
Just like in Reception there will be lots of things around the classroom to help our learning.
